A big thanks to our good friend Rich R up in the Lake District for sending over the photograph of his cosmos (and a shout to Debby H too, as the seeds came from her plants). Rich writes, “Really cold here today, wind chill feels like 2°C. With hard frosts and snow on the way, I thought I’d better send you this pic of the cosmos before it’s too late.”
Brilliant stuff, Rich – thanks again (and to Debby H) for sharing!
A big shout to Rich R who is on his holidays at the moment in Crete and found this rather nice flower called a sea daffodil (AKA white sand lily, amaryllis, lily of Knossos, beach saffron or beach crocus). It’s supposed to have a “pleasing, exotic and very subtle lily scent”. More about the plant

Following on from our last post of Rich R‘s front garden in the lake district, this is what he said “If I turn the camera a couple of degrees the view is, in my opinion, even better!” and he’s right!
Cheers to Rich R in the Lake District for sending us
Cheers to Rich R for sending us this and to Daphne for taking the pic which cheered us up no end this grey morning. It’s a view of Scotland from the lake district. Wonderful stuff!
Cheers to our friend in the Lake District Rich R for sending us a picture of his first cosmos flower, brilliant stuff. It’s fantastic about all this passing on seeds that gardeners do and a big cheers to Debby H for starting all this cosmos mania off in the first place. Ours are still a work in progress, but we may know more in a few days time.
Cheers To Rich R for the picture (above) from the Lake District one sunny day this week. Looks wonderful up there Rich!

Thanks to Rich sending us this great record too Fish, Goat and Sufferah with Warm the Nation. Great stuff.
