This is WLIS calling, WLIS calling

The off-air recording above comes from the Imaginary Stations episode WLIS, captured via the University of Twente (Enschede, NL) SDR on January 10th, 2026. It’s a mix called One Deck Pete presents Five Good Ones (from the Imaginary Stations mixes), a hand-picked selection of five standout tracks pulled from old One Deck Pete Imaginary Stations mixes.

Here’s the records that were played, in their true stereo, just in case unlike us, you don’t like that “bounced off the ionosphere” sound. We love the ionosphere and we love Imaginary Stations!

Celine Dessberg – Сэлэнгэ – Selenge (from HARP)

Morschen43 – MV Ross Revenge For Ever !! (UK) (from The great lakes pirate ships)

Busy Signal – Jamaica Jamaica Dub Pt 2. Gregory Morris (from Skybird Telephonic Exchange)

Terror-Cactus – Descalzo (from SURF)

Los Zheros – Para Chachita (From Skybird Radio International)

There’s an archive of the last 10 Imaginary Stations episodes on their Mixcloud here.

Much more music…

This morning we were happily reminded of a tune from a time gone by from Dimitri From Tokyo/Paris called Love Love Mode (Disorient) which we heard on an early episode of a regular mixcloud programme we’ve been tuning into recently called the Catface Show.

The show is presented by Bob Catface and the shows are 30 minutes in duration featuring a great mix of downtempo and all sorts (and we mean all sorts) of great music. Well worth a listen! Link to it here.

It’s Reggae time!

Big shout to Jesse Yeun for including One Deck Pete‘s “Weeds up to me Knees dub mix” (at 59.29 on the mixcloud below) on his great North of the River Swan show on RTM:FM yesterday. There’s a right old mixture of great downbeat on the show from Karminsky Experience, Tortoise and even one from a duo called One Deck & Popular. Have a listen in…

Even the air is dizzy, earthbeat

Bestival weekly

A big thanks to Rob Da Bank for playing the latest tune from JazzminMadtone called “Earth Citizen” 5 minutes into this imaginary soundtrack mix for Bestival Weekly on Soho Radio this week. The mix also includes Tim Hecker, The Kramford Look, Kidkanevil, Solar Bears, Ohal and Loose Meat and it’s great stuff!

If all goes to plan the tune will be released on a compilation on the Swedish label The Sublunar Society later this year. Crank it up!

Those oldies but goodies remind me of you…

This is a lovely mix of downtempo gear (including some organ-led gospel, dark funk and the like) and a great guest mix from Blundetto out of Paris from a couple of years ago. If you remember we featured his single Warm my soul featuring Courtney John (here) in 2012 after hearing it on DJ Dick’s blog out of Birmingham (nice one Dick!).

This is one to put on loud on a Friday evening after a (crap) week at work, while enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple waiting for the cabbage to cook. Big up Blundetto and the Confused Radio Crew!
