Pigeons have a voracious appetite for brassicas

A big shout to Jon and George of the excellent Coughing Pigeon Radio Show on Brum Radio that plays “Not just sounds from across THE spectrum, but sounds from across EVERY spectrum” as the Brum Radio website desribes the show and they’re not wrong there!

On last week’s show they played at 19 minutes in Jazz’min & Madtone’s “Return to the branches” and at 42 minutes Stefanosis with Remembering Augustus off the great FREE Echo Chamber – Around the World in Dub Volume 11/12 on Dan Dada Records available here. Here’s a recording off an online SDR of today’s One Deck Pete’s “Tunes to cheer you up” which was transmitted on Free Radio Skybird via Channel 292. This is the fifth episode in the series and this week it’s an exclusive of an early mix of a new tune from Jazz’min & Madtone with “Return to the branches”. Apologies for the non Hi-Fi quality but that’s what you get with that wireless thingy.

Robo mowers and radio hams

Back in January (here) we mentioned that we saw a robo mower happily doing its job in Lincoln’s Inn Fields. Whilst walking through said park today we saw it under a hedge in a right rejected state and it looked like it had been there a few days too (can robo mowers be made redundant?) We would’ve been tempted to put it in a bin bag and take it home but the promise of the pin-code alarm security put us right off! 

Also thanks to Jazz’min Tutum for putting this up on her Soundcloud this week, it’s a rough mix of a radio-inspired piece from Jazz’min & Madtone called This Frequency. It a track that goes out to all redundant robo mowers out there. Remember a robo mower is not just for christmas you know.
