As heard on last week’s excellent On The Wire show on BBC Radio Lancashire. Lloyd Ruddock with the excellent Roy Cousins produced “Genuine Way” with the lovely flip, Ungena, a dub by his brother the late great King Tubby. Cheers Stevie B for letting us know about this one and for Fenny for telling us about finding a genuine stone-age axe head! Here it is in all it’s glory on the On The Wire website! It’ll be passed onto a museum for safe keeping but what a find!
Big shout to Stevie B, Fenny and Jim for playing this tune on Saturday’s On The Wire and what a lovely bit of reggae it is, from San Diego’s Tribal Seeds (more on their soundcloud here).
Another great tune this time straight out of Yorkshire on the mighty Scotch Bonnet Records from Danny T, Tradesman featuring Mark Iration called Up Deh. Tune!
Also a big shout to all at the Thompson & Morgan gardening blogfor including one of our tips in their latest post “Expert gardening tips for beginners” which contains some great gems of info for beginners and non-beginners alike. Do have a look at the post here.
A big thanks to Steve Barker, Fenny and Jim from the excellent On The Wire on BBC Radio Lancashire for including the track A Dahlia state of mind by Madtone on their 6th August show. It’s the final track at 1hr 57mins in.
As ever the show is a quality two hours including tunes by Twilight Circus with Big Youth, King Tubby, Dub Dynasty, The Frightnrs, Noura Mint Seym-Ali, Prince Buster and a whole lot more. It’s on every Saturday at Midnight available live here or on play again here. One well worth tuning into!
By the way there’s a great RA exchange interview (here) with Stevie B that’s well interesting and was a bit of pre-holiday listening here at Weeds HQ the other week.
Socialism Train – 19 in a socialist reggae style
Big thanks to Steve Barker from the excellent On The Wire on BBC Radio Lancashire for supplying this ace reggae chart for us. On The Wire has been playing the best in reggae, dub, electronica, ambient and all sorts of eclectic business weekly for over 30 years and is available Saturday midnight here and available on listen again here.

Cheers again to Steve for the chart, shouts to Fenny and Jim at On The Wire too. Keep up the good work!
Here’s two tunes for this cold January night. The first is a deep one from Intrusion called A Gentle Embrace as heard on BBC Radio Lancashire’s On The Wire last week as part of an excellent mix put together by Jim Ingham. The full mix is available here. Big up Steve, Fenny and Jim!
And the second comes thanks to our good friend Dr Strangedub who played this one from Gold-E-Locks featuring Jah Hero called International on this week’s Echo Chamber on KFAI. You can download the track for free too!
